In October 2022, the public association "Belarusian Union of Architects, with the support of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, held
16 Republican competition of diploma projects of graduates of higher and secondary special architectural schools of the Republic of Belarus. In 2022, the competition is dedicated to World Architecture Day.
The competition is aimed at identifying, supporting and encouraging talented youth in the field of architecture, urban planning and architectural design. The purpose of the competition is to improve the educational work of students, increase the level of their professional training for project activities in the field of architecture. Objectives of the competition: identifying and encouraging the most interesting projects; development of initiative and involvement of students in solving specific problems in the field of construction and reconstruction; informing the public and specialists about the achievements of architectural schools of the Republic of Belarus.
The competition was attended by diploma projects of graduates of the specialty architecture of universities (82 works) and secondary schools (32 works) performed at a high level and having a projective or research character.
On October 28, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners was held at the Republican House of Architects. The creative evaluation of the competitive projects was given by an authoritative international jury, which included architects and scientists in the field of architecture, urban planning and design from Poland, America, Russia, Serbia, Belarus. The jury members determined the winners by online voting.
